Covasna County lies in the centre of Romania bordering Brasov County in the west, Harghita County in the North, Bacau County in the east and Buzau County in the south.
Balneary and climatic resorts intertwine with the amazing natural landscape and offer comfort and fun-having.
The surface of the county is of 3710 square km and it consists of a capital city, four towns and over 150 small villages.
The climate is temperate with an average annual temperature of 3-8 degrees Centigrade. The capital city of the county is Sfantu Gheorghe.
Covasna is one of the counties in Transylvania and Romania as well which has a great number of mountain resorts: Covasna (60 km far from Brasov), Balvanyos (81 km far from Brasov), Valcele, Bodoc, Biborteni and Sugas. These resorts harmoniously combine themselves to the natural landscape such as Mestecanisul Nature Reserve at Reci, Varghis Quays and the St. Ana and Moacsa Lakes as well.
This county is the least inhabited in Romania, having a population of 231.170 people both in towns and villages.
