| | | This museum was opened in 1972, its collections bringing together over 6,600 pieces of medical practice from the 16th to the 19th century, coming from chemist`s shops, medical institutions and different people in over 32 places all over Romania.
The departments of the museum are of an exquisite diversity covering the whole range of medical instruments. Thus, one may find surgical pouches, microscopes, different bowls made of wood, china, glass, bronze mortars, stands with balances and weights in the Viennese style; the oldest piece of the collection being a 1597 bronze mortar used for preparing the medicines. | | |
