Medias ? The Franciscan Architectural Centre
The Franciscan Architectural Centre consists of the Franciscan Church and Monastery which was under the Franciscan monks` administration in 1444. In the same year, the great Ottoman invasion ended in defeat and the Turks were chased away from Transylvania by the Governor`s army (that is Voivode Iancu of Hunedoara). The edifice built in the baroque style shelters the Treasure of Seica Mica including 348 Roman coins, the Thesaurus of Panadae, pieces of folk ceramics and sculpted objects from the Middle Ages.

The actual complex consists of two distinct buildings: the church and the monastery. Out of the two, the church (of a hall-type) preserved itself best. The church has a prolonged choir as compared to the proportions of the nave. In 1742, the church was rebuilt in the baroque style as it is today. The two buildings of the monastery have arches in the semi-cylindrical or cross-like shape. From the eastern wing only two ceilings were preserved. Nowadays the monastery shelters the collections of the Town Museum.
