ROMANIA VACATIONS – BEACH VACATIONS ON ROMANIA BLACK SEA COAST See our Romania Black Sea Vacations
Spend your vacation on the beautiful sandy beaches from Romania Black Sea Coast through one our Black Sea Vacation from Romania. Warm climate, miles of sand beaches, ancient monuments, vineyards and modern resorts invite travelers to seriously consider Romania's Black Sea Coast as their summer vacation destination. Beaches, stretching from Mangalia to Mamaia, are dotted with fine resorts and hotels, and countless sports and entertainment facilities.Remnants of ancient Greek culture as far back as the 7th Century, BC, when seafarers established trading colonies along the coast, are still being discovered.
The gateway to all the resorts is the city of Constanta, the main Romanian port. Founded by the Greeks, under the name of Tomis, in the 6th century BC, Constanta is accessible by car (3.5hrs drive from Bucharest), plane, train (express trains to and from Bucharest or other cities), and ferry (182 marine miles from Bosphorus). From North to South, from the Chilia branch of the Danube to the border with Bulgaria, these are the Romanian resorts on the Black Sea coast: Navodari, Mamaia, Constanta, Eforie Nord, Eforie Sud, Techirghiol, Costinesti, Olimp, Neptun, Jupiter, Aurora, Venus, Saturn, Mangalia, 2 Mai and Vama Veche. All of these resorts are accessible either by train, taxi, mini-bus or car.
The Romanian Black Sea Coast is a blend of old and new. Many historical sites, ancient monuments, traditional villages together with the traditional culture of the region, which is a mixture of Romanian, Greek, Macedonian and Turkish influences, coexist with all the modern facilities offered by the resorts. Eforie Nord and Mangalia Spas specialize in mud baths (the mud is taken from the area's salty lake waters) as well as in world famous "Gerovital" and "Aslavital" original rejuvenation treatments. We have also Spa and Wellness Vacataion Packages on our Romania Vacations section. The Romanian Black Sea Coast offers the tourists an impressive number of accommodation spaces, villas and pensions. In addition, in the last years many hotels have been built, the majority of them being organized in touristic complexes and offering complete services for an excellent vacation. From the old hotels, a large number have been restored and the accommodation conditions have been evidently improved. In the present, the Romania Littoral offers accommodation in hotels, villas or pensions classified at two, three, four or five stars. The four and five stars hotels are numerous mostly in Mamaia Resort, but there also are few four and five stars hotels in the other resorts. Besides the hotels, in the resorts the tourists may also find restaurants and terraces, many with Romanian specific cuisine. For entertainment the tourists also have many options. For example, sport fields (football, tennis), bowling, Amusement parks, clubs, discos etc. Also aquatic sports can be practiced. There are diving, windsurfing, and yachting clubs. On the lakes the fishing passionate can enjoy this sport. If we take them separately, every resort has its specific things to offer. Mamaia Resort, for example, which at the present time is the pearl of the Romanian littoral has improved over the years its services regarding accommodation and meals, but also, the resort has extended the tourist offer by: opening a very appreciated aquatic park named Aqua Magic, by building The Cable Railway, by the opening of various clubs like: XXI, Bamboo, and LaMania Club, and by organizing different spectacular events like Formula 1 on water, The Challenger Tennis Tournament, or Aero GP. Vacationers at Romania's Black Sea Coast can also join organized trips from the seaside to a number of locations in the country, including the Danube Delta, the painted monasteries of Bucovina, Transylvania and it’s medieval cities and castles, to the nation's capital city, Bucharest, or to nearby Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.
