The general appearance of the port of Oas is that of liveliness, expansiveness and freshness. The female port includes the shirt with brightly colored quilts with geometric ornaments and lately floral and zoomorphic. The production of the Maramures costume is handmade, in its own household or in the workshops of the peasant craftsmen specializing in the dairy industry, in the production of straw hats or footwear. Some materials require specific technical facilities for the rural framework, such as the guba whirlpool or the mill machine for the blanket.

The women's costume has a sober appearance due to the very vivid and colorful look. Shirts have a rounded neckline around the neck, the shoulder-strapped sleeves wrapped in a frilly. The ornamental motifs are arranged around the neck, on the shoulder, and on the steering wheel on the breeches. Over the bows wearing woolen weaves in horizontal stripes arranged horizontally that through their strong color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and net differentiated background, follow an ancient local tradition. The rich colored lamb furry coat is part of the women's folk costume. Naframa, produced industrially, colored and imprinted, wears everyday and work in the holiday outfit.


The popular men's summer costume is made of canvas is very simple.
