Spring habits

Plow exit.

Before going out to the yard, take a bucket full of water over which they are then set to pass the oxen, the earth to produce, and the oxen and the horses caught in the ham are smoking the wheel not to get sick. When it looks like wheat, the plower closes his eyes not to see the birds of the sky hold on as he does not see then. When he sang the hemp, at the end he throws seedlings upwards with an egg in them "to grow up his tall and beautiful white and soft net"

Flower Stables (Stable)

Collect rods in every house. It's all year long. They are also placed in the stable. In Budeasa, the remembrance of the dead was not done in autumn but in spring. It is believed that the term "Flower Flowers" is borrowed from the pastorit from the children who gather like the sheep at the stand. From the flower buds, each family took care to make a bread of the finest flour, made with the pieces of dough, called mellow. This bread is called "vacared" and it is mandatory to eat by all family members. At the graveyard, only the colas were called "monks", which were shared with the children. Flower staves was a habit especially expected by children because it came with gifts. In the Romans the memory of the dead was also made when the spring came when the roses were blooming at the Rosalia celebration, and there was the floral celebration called Floralia. A transfer from Rosalia to Floralia could be made and so remained.

Tanjaua from Mara

It is one of the most beautiful traditions in Maramures. It is preserved in the villages of Harnicesti, Hoteni and Sat Sugatag.  An old boy's advice follows the spring shoots to choose the most diligent of the hardworking. In choosing the best farmer as a leader and celebrity of the village, it is not only the first to go out to look but if he is a good man, of humanity, if he enjoys the honor of the village, if in his private life is a example in front of the community. The best one is celebrated on April 2. On this morning's day, the sons run to spit on the girls. Even older people are wet in the morning "to grow, to bloom, to wash away all the evils to remain clean and to be fresh as spring water. Intense training takes place at the Srabatorit's home. The ponytail is beautifully embellished, the women are cooking for guests, the gourd is ready for the game. The village housekeepers, the sons and the girls prepare the yoghurts to train them with birch branches, with flower wreaths, wipes and handkerchiefs.

Each tanja has two sons who wear the yoke, called oxi and a pogonici who lead him.

At 12 o'clock, the 12 well-grown yokes where the sons are caught are heading for the home of the celebration. On the way the sons sing (cry):

"The yokes I cooked,

We two together

Let's really celebrate

The Most Warmest Man in the Village "

When all the yogas and tanjals have arrived at the home of the celebrated, the great pogonics one of the elders' counsel is addressed to the celebration and the crowd

Hello man of honor And with satu-together

What did you go with before we want your good life

What you got up to dawn Today you are celebrating

And you have plunged into the field! With all the village you honor yourself

You got up from the dim light And let's get started

And you came in with the plow in the furrow! Surrounding the mystery;

You started your work first

Let's have fun in the plains. And with water we do not water

You have an unworthy hand We have rich fruits

I have my own beautiful fruit; In our country and in other villages,

I have pairs of oxen live alive

How did he meet with us?

The celebration is placed in the telegraph and besides him the "wardens" of the virgins who will keep him not to run alone to Mara to wash his face. The spirits are spontaneous and spectacular and always celebrated is captured because if they reach the water, the guards have to drink. Arriving first in the field, it surrounds the country three times, and then there is a solemn moment when all of them unravel and the great Pogonici says:

"Proud sun

Get on the field

And the seeds germinate

To cast the fields "

The alley heads to the Mara River, where the celebrated is wet with water on the face,

"Mara, Mara, nice river

In this proud day of Sangeorz,

Wash all the evils

And we get good

Peace in the world

Good things

Okay in the country

Wheat in the summer "
