Iasi City  offers a unique image through its layout. Located in the contact zone between The Central Moldavian Plateau, and the Moldavian Plain, the city had its initial core on the first terrace of the Bahlui River. Later, it gradually increased the surface in the fields of Bahlui and the seven hillsides, calling itself „The city of the seven hills“ like Rome.The first document that certified Iasi`s existence was a commercial privilege granted to the Lioven traders by the King Alexander. Due to its advantageous position at the crossroads of commercial routes it quickly became the capital of Moldavia during Alexandru Lapusneanu’s reign (1565).

VALCEA COUNTY   is situated on the central southern side of Romania. It is spread along the river Olt beeing sorounded by the Cozia mountains. The county has a surface area of 5.765 km and a population of 413 - 570 inhabitants. The climat is temperate - continental with weak Mediterranean influences. The main residence of the county is the city Ramnicu Valcea situated at the confluence of the rivers Olt and Olanesti. Cozia Monastery    was built in a picturesque Carpathian landscape by Mircea the Elder between1386 and 1388. Walnut trees easily grew in that area and that’s how the place got the name: petcheneg - cumanian term “coz” = walnut which became Cozia = nut grove.

TULCEA - The Enisala Medieval Fortress The Enisala fortress is one of the great monuments in Romania, built in the middle ages which can be seen from the plan`s metric conception, fortification system, and architectural elements. The citadel was built in the second half of the XIV century. The only ones interested to build a citadel situated in the fortification system of the northern Dobrogea, orientated towards the sea to supervise the sea traffic, were the Genovese merchants who had a monopoly of trading  on the Black Sea.

Targu Jiu - The City Of Brancusi Constantin Brancusi was born in village of Hobita near to Targu Jiu. Several of his most important works such as the Endless Column and the Table of Silence can be seen in the town. Targu Jiu which lies to the south of the Carpathian Mountains, is built on the foundations of a Dacian village surrounded by wild forests. Targu Jiu is situated at the intersection of roads from Danube, Transylvania and Banat. The Roman Army passed during the wars to conquer Dacia. Later on, during the Middle Ages, it became a main commercial centre. The city takes its name from the Jiu River, which flows through it between the Carpathians and the Danube. Targu Jiu has Romanian style architecture with Oriental and French and German Renaissance influences.
