Day by day intinerary:
 
Day 1 July 31st Arrival in Sofia
Meet with your guide. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel.
Welcome dinner in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant (Bulgarian fire dancers)
Accomodation at Hilton Hotel***** or similar.
Meals: dinner (wines + rakia)
 
Day 2 August 1st Sofia
Tour of Sofia in the morning. Highlights are: St. Sofia statue, St. Petka church, St. George Rotunda, Ruins of Serdica, National Theater, Russian church, Al. Nevski Cathedral and St. Sofia church. Entrance to Boyana Church (UNESCO site) and National History museum.
Time at your leisure in the afternoon.
Accomodation at Hilton Hotel***** or similar.

Day 3 August 2rd Sofia – Rila Monastery - Plovdiv
In the morning 8.00 we’ll drive to visit the famous Rila Monastery (UNESCO) a must see for the ones which are visiting Bulgaria.
Then we’ll drive on the way to Plovdiv. Lunch on the route.
Dinner in a tavern from Old Plovdiv.Entrance to the St. Konstantin and Elena church and to the Roman Theatre.

Day 4 August 3th Plovdiv – Besa Valley – Kazanluk – Veliko Tarnovo
We’ll drive in the morning to Besa Valley
Depart to Starosel winery and cheese factory.
Depart to the town of roses – Kazanluk. Visit the Thracian Tomb dating since 4th century BC (UNESCO).
Next drive to Veliko Tarnovo the ancient capital. Visit the Old Town.
Overnight in Veliko Tarnovo. Accomodation at Bolyarski Hotel**** or similar.
Evening at your leisure to explore. Dinner on own.

Day 5 Aug 4th Veliko Tarnovo
We’ll visit the fortress from Veliko Tarnovo, the ancient capital of Bulgaria, and then we’ll visit Arbanassi village with its old renaissence houses and churches. Lunch in the village with local food and wine. Visit of winery of Lyaskovets
Time at your leisure in the afternoon.
Visit of two cheese factories Elena and Kostenkovtsi.
Overnight in Veliko Tarnovo. Accomodation at Bolyarski Hotel**** or similar.

Day 6 Aug 5th Veliko Tarnovo - Bucharest
In the morning depart on the way to Romania. Arrival in Bucharest. In the afternoon we’ll have a panoramic tour of the city and a short walk in the Old Town. Highlights are: Paliament Palace, Royal Palace, Revolution Square, Athenaeum, Triumph Arch, Stavropoleus church (outside visits).
Accomodation in Bucharest at Cismigiu Hotel**** or similar.
Meals: breakfast, lunch (restaurant in the old town)
 
Day 7 Aug 6th Bucharest – Dragasani – Bucharest
After breakfast we’ll drive to one of the oldest and most popular wine areas of Romania at Dragasani. Visit the Stirbei vineyard, property of an very old nobiliar family of Romania which also have a long tradition in wines. They vineyard is very proud about the unique wines, special grapes which grow only there (Ex. Novac).
Wine tasting and lunch.
Next we’ll visit the Horezu area, famous for the monastery (UNESCO site) and for the local traditions, specially the local pottery workshops.
In the afternoon return to Bucharest. Dinner on own.
Overnight at the same hotel.

Day 8 Aug 7th Bucharest – Murfatlar – Tulcea
After breakfast we’ll explore the South-Eastern region of Romania and the wines made here.
First visit at Murfatlar vineyard  and celar, dating since 1907 with a large collection of Romanian grapes but also the most known Cradonay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, aso.
Lunch will be served in a restaurant from Constanta.
After lunch visit the city of Constanta, located on the Black Sea Coast.Highlighta: Cathedral, Roman Mosaic, Mosque, Tourist Harbour.
In the aternoon we’ll depart on the way to Tulcea. Overnight at Delta Hotel**** on the shore ofthe river.

Day 9. Aug 8th Tulcea - Braila
Drive from Constanta to Tulcea, the gate acces to the Danube Delta – the last wild teritory of Europe. Boarding on a catamaran boat and have a short ride on Saon lake. Stop at Saon Monastery for lunch. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Sarica-Niculitel vineyard. Wine tasting.
Dinner with fish menu.
Overnight in Braila at Grand Hotel Oreient****.

Day 10 Aug 9th Braila - Chisinau
This will be a long transfer day from Romania to Moldova Rep at Chisinau.
Dinner in the hotel. Overnight in Chisinau at Jumbo Hotel**** or similar.

Day 11. Aug 10th Chisinau
Today we’ll visit to the most important wine celars from Moldova Republic.
Cricova, the second largest having „only” 120 km of underground tunnels and dates since 15th century.
Milestii Mici galleries lasts over 200 kilometers and were noted in Guinness World Records Book as the most large wine collection in Europe. «Golden Collection» contains over 2 million bottles of harmonious wines.

Day 12 Aug 11th Chisinau – Cotnari – Gura Humorului
Depart from Chisinau back to Romania and stop on one of the most famous and oldest ineyard from Romania – Cotnari. Here the vineyards are over seven centuries old, dating from the time of the Moldavian ruler -Stephen the Great (1457 -1504). The premium wines here are Grasa, Tamioasa and Francusa, other native varieties of wine, which even in the 15th century were known in many other parts of Europe. Visit the cellars and wine tasting.
Lunch on the vineyard.
In the evening arrive at Gura Humorului in a region called Bucovina.

Day 13. Aug 12th Bucovina Painted Monasteries
Bucovina is the North-Eastern region of Romania and it is famous for its Painted Monasteries (UNESCO sights)
- Voronet Monastery (UNESCO) : founded in 1488 by Stephen the Great . It is the most accomplished sample of artistic achievement in Moldavian architecture and painting . The doors of the porch have a Renaissance framing, whereas the stone carvings of the broken arches at the doors and windows belong to the Gothic style. Voronet Monastery had been dubbed the oriental Sistine Chapel , whereas Voronet Blue , a color obtained from lapis lazuli, entered in the lexicon of art alongside Titian red and Veronese green, and to this day has yet to be reproduced by natural means.
Moldovita (UNESCO): dates back from 1532 and is due to the ruling prince Petru Rares 
It has the aspect of a fortress, with imposing towers and high, thick walls. The church has a three-cusped plan, as well as an open porch. It Is decorated with scenes from the 16th c Moldavian life. You can see here the best preserved frescoes, with fresh and vivid colors
- Marginea Pottery Center, faous for its black pottery.

In the evening we’ll have a dinner with traditional folk show (singers and dancers).

Day 14 Aug 13th Bucovina – Bicaz Gorges – Brasov
We’ll cross the beautiful Carpathian Mounatins heading to Transylvania through one of the most scenic routes – Bicaz Gorges.
Short stop for lunch and an easy walk on the shore of the Red Lake.
Arrive in the afternoon at Brasov.
Accomodation at Aro Palace Hotel***** or similar.

Day 15 Aug 14th Brasov – Sinaia – Azuga – Brasov
Drive to Sinaia and visit Peles Castle, the former rummer royal residence of the Romanian kings and considered one of the most beautiful castles of Europe.
Next we’ll go to Azuga and visit the Rhein celar, known for the sparkling wines. Wine tasting and lunch on site.
Return in the afternoon to Brasov and we’ll have a short walking tour in the old town of Brasov. Highlight are: Council Square, Black Church (entrance), Weaver Bastion, Ecaterina’s Gate, White Tower.
 
At 18.00 we’ll leave on the way to Bran castle for a surprize Private Visit and Event at Bran castle. We’ll visit the castle outside the opening times, a private visits only for the members of our group. The guide will be Vlad Dracula himself. The tour will end with wine and cheese tasting. The Bran Castle’s wine will be served toghether witha selection of local cheeses. The mountain villagers from Bran area are famous as good cheese producers.
Dinner will be served in a restaurant from Bran area. Dinner in a restaurant from Bran area. Return to Brasov.

Day 16 Aug 15th Brasov – Bran - Sighisoara
In the late morning (10.30 AM) we’ll leave on the way to Sighisoara (UNESCO), an old medieval small town dating since 12th century. Walking tour in the citadel (Entrance to Clock Tower and Church on the Hill) and visit a local producer of plum and pear brandy but also having a long family tradition of wine producers.
Overnight in Sighisoara at Korona Hotel**** located in the old citadel.
Dinner in a restaurant from Sighisoara.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, wine tasting, dinner.
 
Day 17 Aug 16th Sighisoara – Sibiu - Bucharest
In the morning we’ll drive on the way to Sibiu. Visit the Old Town of Sibiu, one of the oldest and most importabt cities from Transylvania. Highlights are:Big Square, Little Square,  Huet Square, fortified wall and towers. Entrance at Lutheran Cathedral and Orthodox Cathedral.
Lunch in Sibiu. The area of Sibiu is known for the good cheeses made by local sheephards.
During the lunch we’ll have the chance to taste the local cheese.
We’ll end the day in Bucharest.
Overnight at Cismigiu Hotel****, located in the central area. Dinner on own.

Day 18 Aug 17th Bucharest
Breakfast. Day at your leisure to explore Bucharest by your own, shopping, aso.
At 19.00 meet at the hotel to go for the farewell dinner in a famous restaurant from Bucharest Old Town as “Caru cu bere”” or Terasa Doamnei” or “Hanul lui Manuc”
 
Day 19 Aug 18th Bucharest - departure
According with your departure flight we’ll transfer the group at the airport.
