Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1. BUCHAREST – SINAIA – AZUGA – BRAN - BRASOV
Meet our tour guide, in the morning at your hotel in Bucharest. Time 8.30-9.00 AM.
Meeting point in central Bucharest – entrance in Royal Palace, National Art Museum. We collect all people from the Bucharest central hotels, which have car access.
First stop at Sinaia visiting Peles castle, former summer residence of the Romanian Kings. It is considered one of the Top 10 castles / palaces of Europe.
Next we’ll visit the Azuga Rhein Cellar, a royal supplier of the Royal family for sparkling wines.
Visit the production line, sparkling wine tasting and lunch.
Continue with a visit at Bran Castle, alias Dracula’s Castle, one of the most famous castles of Europe.
We’ll end the day with a Traditional Romanian Dinner (3 courses meal), and a Beer Tasting Program. Try 7 - 8 types of Romanian beer (standard and craft). Overnight in Brasov in a 3 stars hotel, located in the heart of the Old Town.
Day 2 BRASOV – VISCRI – SIGHISOARA – BRASOV
In the morning we’ll walk through Brasov’s historic center. The city of Brasov is one of the oldest in Europe, dating from 1235. Concil Square, Black Church, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate are the tour highlights.
Continue to Viscri, a charming Transylvanian village which preserve the old architecture and way of living. Visit the fortified church, a type of religious and defensive structure which you can visit only in Transylvania. Have a horse driven wagon tour and a walk on the village streets.
Traditional Transylvanian lunch – German (Saxon) style.
Next we’ll visit the medieval town of Sighisoara (UNESCO), also called “The Pearl of Transylvania” a wonderful medieval city where you can still enjoy the medieval atmosphere. The citadel built in 13th century by German (Saxon) settlers it was an important cultural and artist center in medieval period. The old town is considered one of the best preserved medieval towns from Europe and its included in the UNESCO heritages list. Sighisoara is the birthplace of the famous Vlad Dracula.
Before dinner we’ll invite you to a Plum / Pear / Forest Fruits Brandy Tasting, in a small family cellar.
Next we’ll go to Vlad Dracul’s House (the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler) to have a 3 courses dinner.
In the late evening return to Brasov. Overnight in the same hotel.
Day 3 BRASOV - BUCHAREST
Free time at your leisure, in the morning up to 11.00 AM. Depart on the way to Bucharest (arrival by 2.00 PM). Drop-off in the central area /your hotel (if central located and with bus access).
