It is a great short break tour of Transylvania. In a limited time, just four days, we try to include as many visits is possible and to offer you a great experience of Transylvania. Our trip focus on so called Classic Triangle of Transylvania, the area of Brasov – Sighisoara – Sibiu. These are the best three old towns and in their surroundings we have an important number of castles, fortresses, the famous Saxon fortified churches, beautiful villages, etc. The area has great landscapes over the Carpathians mountains and the spectacular hills and woods. The tour is an excellent choice if you plan a pre cruise or post cruise excursion in Transylvania.

Day 1. BUCHAREST – SINAIA - BRASOV

Pels Castle

In the morning meet with our guide at your hotel in Bucharest or at the airport (for flights arriving up to 11.00). Note: on request we can include extra nights and travel services in Bucharest.
Leave the city on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian kings. Peles castle is considered one of the best castles in Europe and one of the most modern buildings of its time. Wețll take the standard tour of the castle (1st floor).
End the day in Brasov with a visit of the medieval center of Brasov, The main sites are: Council Square, Black Chuch, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate, St Nicholas Church, The Rope’s street, etc. The city of Brasov has its origins back to 13th century and it was one of the most important trade centres and one of the most fortified towns. Part of the medieval buildings can be still seen in our tour. Time at your leisure in the evening to enjoy the Old Town.

Day 2. BRASOV - PREJMER – VISCRI – RUPEA - SIGHISOARA - BRASOV

Breakfast. Depart from Brasov to explore the Saxon heritages from the area. First stop at Prejmer Fortified Church (UNESCO), one of the best preserved of its kind in Eastern Europe. Dating since 13th century, it is a great sample of a mix between the religious and defensive structures. Built the be a shelter for the local communities the fortified churches are characteristic for southern Transylvania and was part of the regional defensive system. Almost every village in the area had a type of fortification. The most important ones are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Next we’ll drive to one of the most charming Transylvanian villages – Viscri. The village preserve the authentic architecture of the houses, old way of life, traditions and crafts. It is considered a great sample of the Saxon / German Heritage of Transylvania. Enjoy a walk through the village and visit the Viscri Fortified church.
We’ll continue to Rupea fortress, an impressive citadel with three concentric fortified walls and three interior precincts. 
In the afternoon we’ll arrive at Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval town of Transylvania. The main sights: Clock Tower and History Museum, Birth place of Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), Covered stairs, Church on the Hill, towers and fortifications. Enjoy a walk on the narrow streets paved with river stones.
Sighisoara is a must to see place for any traveller having a tour in Romania.
Optional: we can taste local made plum / pear brandy or fruit liqueurs at a small family cellar.
In the evening return to Brasov. Overnight at the same hotel.

Just before sunset we’ll go in the forest assisted by a ranger and we’ll wait in a special watch tower to see the brown bears in their natural habitat. The program is about 2 hours long, but depends a lot of the bears activity. These bears are truly wild and we have a 90 – 95% chance of seeing them at the hides.
However we cannot guarantee the success.
Note: the optional activity can be organized in any other day when we stay overnight in Brasov.

Day 3. BRASOV – SIBIU – SIBIEL - FELDIOARA - BRASOV

Sibiu

We’ll spend the morning in the area of Sibiu. The city of Sibiu it was the biggest medieval town of Transylvania and today is one of the most popular tourist sights. Highlights: Big Square, Little Square, Orthodox and Lutheran-Evangelic Cathedrals, Liars bridge, medieval wall, etc. Sibiu is a vibrant city with a charming old town and a walk will reveal parts of the local history and culture. It is considered one of the European most romantic places to live and visit.
In lunch time we’ll drive you in the villages from Sibiu surroundings, places with a long history and tradition. The best way to discover the village life is to go a trip by horse driven wagon. Enjoy the sightseeing and village. Then we’ll serve a home-made traditional lunch in a local family guesthouse. It is also the chance to see a typical Transylvanian household and to see how a peasant family lives. 
In the afternoon we’ll return to Brasov. On the route stop to visit the Feldioara Fortress. Dating since the early 13th century, it was the headquarter of the Teutonic Knghts, under the name of Marienburg. Feldioara Fortress is considered the oldest fortification in medieval Transylvania.

Day 4. BRASOV – BRAN – BUCHAREST

Bran castle

Continue your Transylvania tour with the visit at the famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, the castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola.. The first documents about the Bran Castle appeared in 1377. 
After the Bran Castle visit you can spend some time for souvenires shopping and then leave Transylvania and go back to Bucharest. Arriving in the afternoon (aprox 15.00). Drop off at the airport or at a hotel in Bucharest.
Optional. Panoramic tour of Bucharest. Highlights: Triumph Arch, Victoriei Square, Victory Avenue, Royal Palace, Athenaeum, Revolution Square, Parliament Palace, Union Square, University Square.

Payment and Cancellations Policy for Highlights of Transylvania Tour

Payments
To secure your booking a deposit of 100 euro/person is required.
The final payment has to be made with minimum 15 days prior the tour start.
The payments can be made online by credit card or by banking transfer
In certain circumstances can be made cash or card on arrival
Cancellations
Special conditions. If an emergency situation occurs (pandemic, disasters, revolution, war, etc) and the Romanian authorities or the authorities from the traveler’s country impose restrictions to travel, to enter or leave the country, the cancellation can be made anytime without any penalty.
Standard conditions. If none of the above mentioned situations occur the cancellation policy is:
No penalty will apply if the cancellation is made with minimum 15 days prior the tour. Any deposit paid will be refunded in maximum 10 days.
20 % penalty fee apply if the cancellation is made with 5-14 days prior the our departure.
50% penalty fee apply if the cancellation is made with less than 5 days prior the tour start or in case of NO SHOW.
