Off-road Experience

You can use as arriving airports as: Sibiu (SBZ), Bucharest (OTP), Cluj-Napoca (CLJ), Targu Mures (TGM) or you can arrive by train to: Sibiu, Sighisoara or Brasov. Meet our representative and you’ll be transferred to Sibiu.Optionally, depending on your arrival time we can organize a walking tour in the Sibiu’s Old Town.Overnight in Sibiu in a 4 stars hotel located in the Old Town. Ex: Ramada, Forum Continental, Levoslav, etc.

Breakfast. It is the first adventure day in our off-road tour in Romania. At 9.00 AM we’ll check out the hotel. After a short briefing we sign in for the jeeps and we’ll start driving in the hilly area next to Sibiu to discover the beauty of the Saxons (German) heritages. The charming countryside, old picturesque villages spread over the green hills and valleys. We eat a box lunch in a shady place on the way. We’ll have an off-road drive in the pastoral area of the Saxon villages, we observe the picturesque settlements, the sheep and cow folds. All the way we can admire  the majestic Fagaras Mountains ridge. You’ll find more about the local’s way of life, their customs and traditions.
Next we’ll approach the Carpathians Mountains (Southern Range) and we’ll drive along the beautiful Olt River Valley which is crossing the mountain all the way to southern Romania. We will stop in the mountains at Voineasa resort to spend the evening and the night.
Overnight at Zan Hotel**** or similar.

Breakfast. All day we drive off-road along the Ridge of Latorita Mountains with great 360 degree views over the wilderness. The highest point of the route is 2100m. This off-road route it is one of the most spectacular in Romania and in Europe. It offers great scenery, breathtaking views over the Carpathians mountains and lakes as also towards the valleys of Transylvania or Wallachia. This was a strategic route in the past known only by shepherds and locals.
Overnight at Hotel Alpin***.

Breakfast. We’ll start driving through the deep gorge carved by the strong stream of the Jiet river all the way to Petrosani. Here we buy fresh meat and supplies for the lunch planned barbeque. We have a challenging driving day through the Sureanu Mountains National Park. We use the low gear and test our driving skills in the shade of the old oak forest. 
We get to the perfect lunch spot for a relaxing barbeque meal. We continue descending towards Transylvania – Sebes area.
We end the day at our hotel for a relaxing evening. Hotel Golf Pianu (în Pianu de Sus)/Casa Buna (Garbova)

Breakfast. We’ll continue our off-road tour in Romania with a new adventure in the Cindrel Mountains. This is one of the most important pastoral areas from Romania, one of the most popular activities is growing sheep and making cheese. There are very prosperous and beautiful villages where people are very interested to maintain their traditions, old activities and crafts. You’ll have great views over the mountains and the Transylvanian mountain villages and valleys. Box lunch will be served on the way.
We’ll end our off-road trip in the evening, staying in a very traditional area characteristic for Transylvanian rural life – Marginimea Sibiului. Just before dinner we will enjoy a horse driven wagon tour in the village and its surroundings. Then we’ll serve a delicious homemade farewell dinner served in a local guest house, drinks included.

Breakfast. According with your departure flight times we will transfer you at the airport or train station.

There are several choices to organize an off-road tour in Romania. First choice is when all or some of the tourists want to experience driving by their own and to test their skills. Then we will have one car driven by our tour guide which goes ahead followed by up to 6 cars with a maximum of 4 tourists per vehicle. Second choice is to just enjoy the ride and let our experienced drivers do the work. Our visitors will just enjoy the beauty of the countryside, mountains, wild forest and amazing landscapes.
Third choice is for the ones which want to drive their own cars. We will have just a tour guide and a vehicle to show you the way. Transportation, fuel, parking will be in your charge.
You may choose from 2-3 days to 10 days, or more, in our selection of jeep tours in Romania.
We can change the type and level of accommodation as much is possible for the area where we have to stay overnight.
